Kicking off 2025 with the Aumni team

The start of a new year is a perfect time to reflect on where we’ve been and, more importantly, where we’re headed. At Aumni, we’re stepping into 2025 with gratitude for the milestones we achieved together in 2024 and excitement for what’s to come.

We recently sat down with members of Aumni’s leadership team to hear their thoughts on the past year and their vision for the year ahead. Here’s what they had to say:

What’s a standout moment from 2024 that makes you proud of what Aumni accomplished?

“There isn't a single moment that defined customer success in 2024. Rather, it was the examples of persistent, daily excellence that makes me most proud of what Aumni accomplished in 2024.”

2024 saw shifts in venture capital. What stood out to you the most?

“What’s stood out the most to me has been the inconsistency in recovery: some metrics seem to be showing hopeful improvement (like pre money valuations, time between financings, secondaries), while others remain unchanged or have continued to degrade (e,g, down rounds, convertible discounts, follow-on vs net new investor capital). 

It seems like we are in a multi-tier market, where the best companies are doing better and better but many still are struggling with a tough funding environment.”

What’s one thing Aumni learned from its clients that will influence how we operate this new year?

“We're fortunate to serve so many amazing clients who rely on Aumni as their source of truth for their venture portfolios. We love feedback and work hard to incorporate it into our product roadmap. Flexibility was a key theme last year and we're excited to showcase updates that are making clients' in-app experience better in every way.”

As a brand, how do you see Aumni evolving in 2025?

"This is an exciting time for the Aumni brand! Since joining J.P. Morgan, this brand has been in full scale-up mode. I expect 2025 to continue further with double-digit gains to awareness and equity metrics, supported by world-class case studies and many more new client logos from top-tier brands."
